One of the most common questions we get asked at Brilliant Cleaning Services is how to clean the pet hair from a home. Pets are so much fun but they also can create a big mess. Especially when it comes to their hair. Do you wonder what we use to remove pet hair from furniture, carpets and flooring? If so, this post will give you a few tips on how to get rid of pet hair in your home.

Vacuum

Of course vacuuming. We use the vacuum to clean the hair from flooring but also from furniture. Removing all cushions and always start from the inside out. Pet hair on carpets can be very easily removed by simply gliding your squeegee across it. Make sure to pull it towards you. You want believe how brilliant this works.

Now some hair is worse then others and the tips above might not get your home clean. Do you have a pet that leaves there hair on your couches, cushions or pillows and it's like a needle? Here are two fantastic solutions that always work and leave you satisfied and your furniture back to new.

Duct Tape

Duct tape can be a wonderful cleaning tool for your home. Simply apply two to three inch strips of the Duct tape over the areas with pet hair. Then tear the strips off one strip at a time just like your waxing the furniture. Make sure to always pull on an upward angle and quickly when pulling the strips of duct tape off. This also works on other fabrics, blankets and of course inside your vehicle.

Dish Gloves

Another quick and simply solution for any type of furniture, toys, floor and fabric is your rubber dish gloves. Put on one glove or both if you want to be faster. Get the gloves damp. Then run the glove along the surface of whatever the hair is sticking to. This trick is wonderful. The rubber in the dish gloves when wet act as an attractant to hair. It's the same reaction you receive with a real wool duster. It's like they are magnetic to the hair.

Dryer Sheets

Although we have about 5 more solutions, our final suggestion for today is a dryer sheet. Wipe the dryer sheet over the surface where the hair is. The hair will be attracted to it. For even better results mix water with 1 tbsp of fabric soft in a spray bottle. Spray the solution all over the area that you will be removing the hair from. Then process to wipe it with the dryer sheet.
